Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Mirror was built on a simple belief: your reflections are yours alone. This policy explains clearly and honestly how we handle your information — and what we don't do with it.
Your Data is Yours
Mirror does not provide an option to create an account. We do not have access to your reflections, moods, emotions, moments, journal entries, voice notes, habits, or gratitude entries. This content is stored only locally on your device, and you can access, modify, or delete it directly within the app.
The only information processed outside your device relates to subscriptions, payments, and limited usage information, as described below.
What Information Do We Collect?
Mirror does not collect your name, email address, photos, or anything you write or record within the app. We do not collect or access the personal content you create in Mirror.
Subscription-related information may be processed through Apple and RevenueCat, as described below. In the future, we may introduce optional features such as account creation. If we do, this policy will be updated and we will ask for your consent before collecting any additional information.
Limited Usage Data
We use PostHog, a third-party product analytics service acting as a data processor on our behalf, to understand how Mirror is used and improve the app over time. This may include information such as app launches, screen visits, which features are used, session duration, app version, and device type. PostHog also derives an approximate location (country, region, and city) from your device's IP address; we do not store precise location data such as coordinates or postal code.
This information is anonymous and is not linked to your name, email address, or the personal content you create in Mirror. We do not collect your journal entries, voice notes, moods, emotions, habits, moments, or gratitude entries as part of usage analytics — only that an action occurred (for example, that an entry was saved), never its content.
PostHog processes this data on servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). You can review PostHog's privacy practices at https://posthog.com/privacy.
Subscriptions and Payments
Mirror offers a free trial period followed by an optional paid subscription. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment details.
To manage subscriptions, verify purchases, and restore access, we use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service that acts as a data processor on our behalf. When you start a trial, subscribe, or restore a purchase, RevenueCat may process information related to your transaction, such as subscription status, purchase history, app user ID, and limited technical information needed to manage your subscription.
Because Mirror does not have user accounts, this information is not connected to your name, email address, or anything you write or record in the app. RevenueCat does not have access to your reflections, journal entries, voice notes, moods, emotions, habits, moments, or gratitude entries. RevenueCat may process and store this information on servers in the United States.
You can review RevenueCat’s privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Permissions We Request
